What's So Great About "The Great Resignation"?
The "Great Resignation" (alternatively known as "The Big Quit" and "The Great Reshuffle" in other industries and parts of the world) was a term used to describe the growing trend of a great number of employees leaving their jobs since the pandemic has started.
Now, the pandemic is far from over as a lot of people would like to believe, but throughout the news of having to work through a new normal and managers demanding their employees to return to office as the number of infections begins to dwindle and restrictions become laxer, therein comes announcements from employees deciding they don't want any more of it.
But why is that?
According to a 2022 global survey by PWC, there are five factors that make up the "resignation equation": job fulfillment, having the feeling of being their true selves at work, financial rewards, having the feeling that their team cares for them, and having the feeling that their manager listens to them.
